Egyptian and Liverpool superstar Mo Salah, who was knocked out of the Champions League final after grappling with Sergio Ramos, has announced that he is going to Spain to seek treatment for his injured shoulder. He had played in the final for only 30 minutes when the clash with Real Madrid's Ramos saw him fall on his shoulder. He was taken off the field, where Liverpool medics tried to administer first aid. He got back on the pitch but gave up a few minutes later, due to the pain in his shoulder. It was later said that the injury was so bad that it might prevent him from playing in the world cup.
Mo Salah's injury was the first sign of the disastrous night Liverpool experienced. The English team lost 3-1 to Real Madrid. Of the three goals, two were scored after goalkeeping errors by Loris Karius. Senegalese winger Sadio Mane pulled one back for Liverpool to make the score 1-1, only for Real Marid to add two more goals. Loris has since come under fire by Liverpool fans for his unbelievable blunders, with some even issuing death threats. Liverpool has also been criticized for being overly dependent on Salah.
Egyptians are hoping their superstar, nicknamed the pharaoh by Liverpool fans, will be ready to represent the country at the upcoming FIFA World Cup, which will start on 14th June 2018 in Russia.
